Carefree, fearless and filled with an unquenchable thirst for adventure, Hero has been traversing Europe on horseback for as long as she can remember. She's usually not one to linger in public but she takes an extreme interest in the inhabitants of St. Gilles, and in particular, has developed a curious fascination with a local priest and his young ward. Hero decides to kick up her heels long enough to learn more about this small village, seemingly cut off from the rest of the world.
